I might feel uncomfortable wearing it alone, without one of those items. Separates seem to work best for me.

Sometimes it cuts right across the mid-section and makes it look bigger. Some sheaths might work but you also might want to try shifts that will skim the body while still being generous through the tummy area. I hope that helps!

In fact, a fit-and-flare style can counterbalance your larger upper half and make it look proportioned. Have you ever tried this style? How does it look?

What is the best style of dress for a woman like me with the opposite body shape, busty with small hips and thighs? Thanks!

Comment on Friday’s Fab Find: Bra Bridge by Harriet http://bridgetteraes.com/2018/03/23/fridays-fab-find-bra-bridge/#comment-12506 Wed, 28 Mar 2018 16:10:00 +0000 http://bridgetteraes.com/?p=18842#comment-12506 Initially I thought I wasn’t interested in the Bra Bridge even after watching the video. But I was still curious so I watched two more videos on YouTube, including one with the inventor of the product. Now I’m very interested! As I have aged, my band size has stayed the same while my cup size has increased. I noticed in the inventor how uplifted, but also how “pulled in” her breasts look. That’s how I want to look too.

Comment on PDX Style: What to Wear in Portland Oregon by Bridgette Raes http://bridgetteraes.com/2018/03/27/pdx-style-what-to-wear-in-portland-oregon/#comment-12505 Wed, 28 Mar 2018 15:19:00 +0000 http://bridgetteraes.com/?p=18850#comment-12505 Whew. I really wanted to do right by the PAC NW. So I am glad to have some approval. Yes, the umbrella thing is really funny but it really does make sense once you are there. I can’t explain it. It’s almost like the rain falls differently???? I know that sounds totally ridiculous and stupid, but there is something about the rain there that doesn’t seem to saturate as badly as it does here. If I walked 1/2 as long in NY on a rainy day without an umbrella I’d need a change of clothes. Yet, in Portland, it didn’t seem to have the same effect. I can’t explain it. Anyway, so much to like about Portland. It’s in my top 5 of favorite cities in the US now, for sure!

Even the homeless seem to have their own style in Portland. I always say here in Brooklyn, we spend a lot of money to look like we didn’t spend any.

And you called it on hoods vs umbrellas. There’s so much I like about Portland.

I’m headed to Seattle next weekend and the cities sound very similar (I’ve been to Seattle a few times). What struck me walking around the city is it looked like the people could break out into a hiking trip at any moment with all of the outdoor-gear clothing and bags. Also, there is a game called “Homeless or HIpster” as from the plethora of plaid shirts and unkempt appearances, it was sometimes challenging to differentiate! Ha!

Any tips if you have a bit of a tummy? Or would a sheath be better?
